There are 171 companies from the S&P 500 that will be posting earnings this week. So far, when looking at the S&P 500 (ex financials) about 58% have beaten EPS. However there is some problems when it comes to revenue. We discussed that on this week’s TDI Podcast.
Below is the list of key earnings reports that are due with EPS and revenue estimates. Of course it is expected that companies will at least beat on EPS by $0.01 – if they don’t, watch out. Also pay close attention to the multinationals. The dollar headwind and slowing economic situation in many of the emerging markets is putting some pressure on them. Look no further than the miss by McDonald’s (MCD) today to confirm that.
