Asia‘s booming economies boasted 3.3 million people worth $1 million or more last year, up 10% from ‘09 and exceeding the number of millionaires in Europe for the first time, according to Merrill Lynch. Asia is gaining quickly on North America, where the number of millionaires rose 8.6% last year to 3.4 million.

The U.S., Japan, Germany and China had the most wealthy people.
