Purchasing Managers Index – Rising Again

The purchasing managers index has been rising at a regular clip over the last few months. That is a sign that there is activity ion the manufacturing end of the economy. It is also a confirmation of the GDP inventory component that occupied 3.4% or so of the 5.7% –   4th quarter GDP print.

Generally, this was expected and did not surprise the markets. A positive overall statement for the economy.
