Yves Smith has spent more than 25 years in the financial services industry and currently heads Aurora Advisors, a New York-based management consulting firm specializing in corporate finance advisory and financial services. Yves is also well known as the creator of the influential Naked Capitalism, a top-ranked economics and finance blog with over 250,000 unique visitors each month.

Yves’s professional experience also includes Goldman Sachs, McKinsey & Co., and Sumitomo Bank where she established and managed the M&A Department. Yves has appeared on NPR, CNBC, CNN, Bloomberg, and Fox Business News, and has written over 40 articles in publications such as The New York Times, Slate, The Christian Science Monitor, Slate, The Conference Board Review, Institutional Investor, The Daily Deal and the Australian Financial Review. Yves is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School. In March 2010, Yves released her first book ECONned, a book which explored the role of economists as policy makers and how they contributed to the economic and financial crisis.
