There are plenty of outside influences that are going to move markets this week. European headlines will surely be in play and the rumor brigade will be on overdrive. There will also be the (Not-So-Super) Supercommittee recommendations that are due on Wednesday – which at this point appears to be a bust.
Fed minutes are released on Wednesday as well. This will probably show a divided group over stimulus efforts and inflation. Later in the week, personal income and spending will be reported showing just how resilient the U.S. consumer really is.
