According to the latest report from ComScore, Google (GOOG) and Apple (AAPL) continue to devour market share from the dwindling Blackberry (RIMM), Microsoft (MSFT) and Symbian devices (NOK).

As the iPhone expands its line with the 4S their products continue to become increasingly popular, we are beginning to see Apple increase its market share in hardware as well.   The latest data shows an increase of 2.2% since September of 2011 through December of 2011.   While Samsung continues to dominate the handset market, the growth appears to be stagnating.   We would expect to see Apple extend its rise if they can continue to bring new and innovative products to the marketplace.
