Jo<\/strong>hn Reese <\/strong>is founder and CEO of Validea.com<\/a> and Validea Capital Management, LLC<\/a> . He is also portfolio manager for the Omega American and International Consensus funds offer in Canada. He holds two patents in the area of automated stock analysis. John is a graduate of MIT and Harvard Business School.<\/p>\n

Michelle Leder<\/strong><\/a> first became interested in S.E.C. filings early in her \u00a0 career, while writing about a small Florida bank that was engaged in \u00a0 aggressive accounting during the last real estate boom.<\/p>\n

As a \u00a0 reporter, and later editor, she spent 10 years at daily newspapers in \u00a0 Florida, Connecticut and New York. \u00a0 She started footnoted.org, which \u00a0 looks at the things companies bury in their routine S.E.C. filings in \u00a0 2003, to coincide with the publication of her first book, “Financial \u00a0 Fineprint: Uncovering a Company’s True Value<\/a>” (John Wiley & Sons, \u00a0 2003). She has a degree in economics from Brandeis University and \u00a0 blogs from footnoted.org world headquarters in Peekskill, N.Y.<\/p>\n
