Since 1987 he has held a joint appointment in the Economics Department and Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University. He is the founding Director of the Princeton University Survey Research Center.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Krueger served as Chairman of President Barack Obama\u2018s Council of Economic Advisers and a Member of his Cabinet from November 2011 to August 2013. He also served as Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy and Chief Economist of the U.S. Department of the Treasury in 2009-10, and as Chief Economist at the U.S. Department of Labor in 199495.<\/p>\n<p>He is the author of \u201cWhat Makes A Terrorist: Economics and the Roots of Terrorism and Education Matters: A Selection of Essays on Education\u201d\u009d, co-author of \u201cMyth and Measurement: The New Economics of the Minimum Wage\u201d\u009d, and co-author of \u201cInequality in America: What Role for Human Capital Policies?\u201d\u009d He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Russell Sage Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, and the American Institutes for Research, as well as a member of the editorial board of Science (2001-09), editor of the Journal of Economic Perspectives (1996-2002) and co-editor of the Journal of the European Economic Association (2003-05).<\/p>\n<p>He has been a member of the Executive Committee of the American Economic Association (2005-07) and International Economic Association, and Chief Economist for the National Council on Economic Education (2003-09).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"> \u00a0&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0132790076\/investmentadvi09\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14547 alignleft\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" title=\"0132790076\" src=\"https:\/\/thedisciplinedinvestor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/0132790076.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"96\" height=\"144\" \/><\/a><strong>Satyajit Das<\/strong> has worked in financial derivatives, risk management, and capital markets for over 30+ years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Since 1994, Mr. Das has acted as a consultant to financial institutions and corporations in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. Previously, between 1977 and 1994, Mr. Das worked on the `sell side\u2018 (Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Citicorp Investment Bank and Merrill Lynch) and the `buy side\u2018 (Treasurer of the TNT Group, an Australian based international transport and logistics company).<\/p>\n<p>Das is the author of a number of key reference works on derivatives and risk management. His works include Swaps\/ Financial Derivatives Library  Third Edition (2005, John Wiley &amp; Sons) (a 4 volume 4,200 page reference work for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thedisciplinedinvestor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/satyajit_das.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4991 alignright\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" title=\"satyajit_das\" src=\"https:\/\/thedisciplinedinvestor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/satyajit_das.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"88\" height=\"107\" \/><\/a><\/strong>practitioners on derivatives) and Credit Derivatives, CDOs and Structured Credit Products  Third Edition (2005, John Wiley &amp; Sons). He is the author of Traders, Guns &amp; Money: Knowns and Unknowns in the Dazzling World of Derivatives (2006, FT-Prentice Hall), an insider\u2018s account of derivatives trading and the financial products business filled with black humor and satire.
