That is interesting as most of the information in the LEI is calculable before the release. So, how did the <!--more-->economists\/analysts get this one so wrong?<\/p>\n<p>By wrong, we mean a 0.8 actual versus a 0.4 estimate. That is absurd!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thedisciplinedinvestor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/lei1-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13830\" title=\"lei1\" src=\"https:\/\/thedisciplinedinvestor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/lei1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"587\" height=\"341\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But rest assured, next month&#8217;s will not look so pretty as the components are mostly pointing lower at this time. Here is a breakdown of the component&#8217;s percent change from the recent month, versus last month.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thedisciplinedinvestor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/lei2-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13831\" title=\"lei2\" src=\"https:\/\/thedisciplinedinvestor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/lei2-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"582\" height=\"355\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Notice that the general direction is down for the year over year figures.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thedisciplinedinvestor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/lei3-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13833\" title=\"lei3\" src=\"https:\/\/thedisciplinedinvestor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/lei3-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"562\" height=\"353\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, watch for a drop next month&#8230; Of course the estimates may look to low-ball this one as well.
